TRAVELING IN THAILAND

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT):-
With the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Thai Travel Agents Association (TTAA) and Association of Domestic Travel (ADT) have organized the 6th Thai Travel fair 2009, which is one of Thailand’s largest international travel shows during 26 February – 1 March at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
The Thai Travel Fair is a trade show that focuses on consumers. The objective of this event is for the public and private sectors to stimulate the tourism and hospitality industry by offering promotion package deals including special rates for rooms, package tours, and airplane tickets. Consequently, this will help airlines, hotels and tour operators sell their quality products and services at special prices to Thai tourists travelling during this coming school vacation in March – June 2009.
This year, TAT is joining in the travel fair by participating in 20 booths which are situated in Zone C, Exhibition Building. TAT hopes that this event will give maximum benefit to the tourism industry and its related tourism organisations in Thailand. Last year, the event drew more than 400,000 people with approximately, 1,005 trade attendees comprising travel companies, airlines, and tourism organisations. For this year’s event, it is estimated that 600,000-700,000 people will attend.
